Our school is situated in the growing town of Cambourne, on the A428 between Cambridge and St Neots. There are very good road and rail links nearby. The school is situated in large, very attractive, landscaped grounds with plenty of playground space and a grassed area for sporting activities. It is a well-resourced two form entry primary school, with extended school facilities, offering pre-school for 2 & 3 year olds, breakfast club and after school club. Our staff work hard and are enthusiastic about developing lively and engaging educational opportunities for the children in their care.
Our clear rules promote good behaviour and foster mutual respect amongst one another. Our school values, which are described as ‘The Monkfield Way’, allow the children to develop a sense of responsibility and can be seen within the school environment so that children are frequently drawn back to what is at the heart of what we do. All children are encouraged to follow 'The Monkfield Way' so that by the time that they leave us, they can be a citizen who believes in the following Monkfield Way values:

We had our last Ofsted Inspection in November 2018 where the school was rated as good. The inspection team found that “Pupils are happy and enjoy the school, as shown by their low rates of absence and good behaviour. They have positive attitudes to learning.” They also reported that “Staff are proud to work at the school and want the very best for the pupils that they teach.”
