Are you an inspirational primary leader with a passion for creating an inclusive learning environment where children can grow? Do you have the vision and resilience to lead a school community and drive improvement?

James Knott Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a Headteacher to join an experienced team and build on its strong foundations, leading the school in the next phase of development.

The Headteacher will provide strategic leadership for the school, driving the ethos, vision and values of the Trust while ensuring the highest standards of education, safeguarding and operational effectiveness.

Working closely with the Primary Improvement Team and Central Services, you will:

  • Maintain and raise academic standards so that outcomes meet or exceed national expectations
  • Deliver an inspiring, ambitious curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils
  • Ensure safeguarding and the wellbeing of children remain paramount
  • Lead and develop high-quality teaching through rigorous monitoring and professional development
  • Use pupil performance data strategically to drive improvement
  • Foster strong partnerships with parents, carers and the wider community
  • Lead effective resource and financial management in line with Trust policy
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, safeguarding and health & safety requirements

You will also play an active role within the Trust’s Executive Leadership Team, contributing to cross school collaboration and the wider strategic development of primary education across the Trust.
