The school is proud of its inclusive culture and the shared commitment to providing the very best for every pupil. The focus is very much on developing the whole child and ensuring they all have access to a wide and varied range of opportunities and experiences. New Brighton is a progressive school, always exploring and embracing opportunities for improvement. This has resulted in recent developments such as the building of a new on-site sports hall to further enhance its strength in PE, designation as a lead school in the Computing for School Network of Excellence and as a 2Simple Software Centre of Excellence. There is a new library and research hub and the pastoral well being of pupils is a high priority, increasing more so due to Covid 19. With these changes the focus is always on improving outcomes for pupils and this motivation will drive further strategic improvements. The school is currently graded as Good and there is a collective ambition to continually improve. The school’s greatest strength is its committed and talented staff team who welcome and embrace new approaches which can enhance their practice and outcomes for the children. The new Headteacher must share this commitment and provide the leadership that can harness this passion and drive further improvement.
