Headteacher – Priory Academy, Dunstable
L25-L32 • Required for September 2022
We are looking to appoint an exceptional Headteacher to lead this extended secondary school in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. Priory is a co-educational, oversubscribed, all ability school for children in Years 5 to Year 11. It is an OFSTED graded Good school with good attainment outcomes. It is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate as the school embarks on its next phase, a place where traditional values are combined with the latest technology to deliver a very effective and modern curriculum.
The new Headteacher is being appointed following the announcement of the planned retirement of the current, well respected Head at the end of the summer term 2022.
Priory Academy is part of Scholars’ Education Trust, which is an established, cross-phase, Home Counties based multi-academy trust. Formed in 2012, SET has enjoyed measured growth, ensuring maximum educational impact alongside financial sustainability, and is currently made up of five co-educational schools – a primary school, an extended secondary, two secondary schools and an all-through school.
To be successful candidates will have an expert knowledge of the process of learning, significant educational experience coupled with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. You will have a desire to progress further in your career, and have the ability to make a difference for all the students.
