Headteacher job summary
We are looking for an exceptional leader to take this school forward into the next decade. Riversides School is a 70 place school for children and young people with a educational, health and care plan for social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) aged 7 – 16, located over two sites in Worcester.
We are currently under an Executive Head model with Kingfisher School but strongly believe that we need a Head Teacher in both schools. We are now looking for an experienced headteacher who would be able to take the school forward and working with the outgoing Executive Head cement the excellent practice already in place and enhance the School Improvement Committee in the Trust.
Riversides School is part of Advance Trust, a Multi Academy Trust of specialist and alternative provision in Worcestershire. Advance Trust believes that everyone deserves the best possible opportunities in their formative years and we work together collaboratively to ensure every young person achieves their personal goals and potential. We believe that we can become the catalyst for social change and work with our communities and families to ensure the best learning conditions for all of our young people.
The new Headteacher would ideally be in place from April 2020. The Headteacher will work closely with the Local Governing Body, Advance Trust’s Executive Principal, and other Head Teachers within Advance Trust to continue to provide outstanding provision for children and families.
