Important information for applicants: This vacancy is for RUNNYMEDE ST EDWARD'S CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL. Runnymede St Edward’s Catholic Primary School will open as a voluntary aided school in September 2020. The school will replace provision currently provided on the same site by Runnymede St Edward’s Preparatory School (independent) which will close at the end of this academic year. Details of this process are available on the website. As Runnymede is registered as an independent school for the remainder of this academic year, it has not been possible to advertise this vacancy on the DfE website, under the name of Runnymede St Edward's. The core purpose of the Head Teacher is to set and implement the strategic direction of the school and to provide professional leadership and management to drive achievement of high standards in all areas of the school’s work, particularly in ensuring the provision of sustainable outstanding education through the preservation and development of its Catholic character.
The school’s objectives relate to the provision of Catholic education and the school is part of the Catholic Church and, as such, is to be conducted as a Catholic school in accordance with canon law, the teachings of the Catholic Church and the trust deed of the Congregation of Christian Brothers.
