Headteacher job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a school that is oversubscribed, OFSTED rated Good in 2018 and moving to a new site in the near future. A school that is seeking to appoint a committed, hardworking Headteacher who can live our GREAT values and lead the excellent work already taking place to develop the school. We are a large secondary school with a supportive staff who are committed to our improvement journey. Leaders and colleagues who are determined to maintain our ‘Good’ and achieve our ambition of being an Outstanding school. All our staff work hard to enable all our young people to find and develop their talents and be the best that they can be.
Saddleworth School will be moving to a fantastic new site and building, less than a mile from the current site, in 2021/2022, our new school will enable our pupils to access their education in a state-of-the-art facility.

Our new Headteacher should have considerable experience at a senior leadership level, a proven track record of improving educational outcomes and of managing change within a school. This will be combined with extensive experience of school improvement planning and evaluation that leads to impact and improved outcomes.

• Being able to create a culture of continuous improvement, implementing effective systems and securing high levels of professional standards so that we attain excellence in every aspect of the school’s provision
