What skills and experience we're looking for
The Pupils, Governors and Staff of North Ridge seek to appoint an outstanding dynamic, hard working individual to this post who will live up to our school motto of “do your best”. We are looking for a Head Teacher who will:
- Determine and deliver the school strategy
- Give the highest priority to the quality of education at North Ridge
- Have the vision, passion and enthusiasm to motivate and inspire pupils and staff to reach their full potential
- Ensure that pupils benefit from the highest standard of teaching, to prepare them for adulthood in an ever-changing world
- Promote effective engagement with parents and the wider community
- Provide the highest levels of support for staff well-being and in their professional development
- Have a strong understanding of meeting the needs of pupils with SEN.
- Lead on Safeguarding accross the whole school community

North Ridge is an Outstanding specialist high school for pupils with persistent and complex special educational needs, aged 11-19 years.
We are a fast developing school split across two sites in North Manchester. Our main site is located in Higher Blackley, and our 6th Form HUB in Cheetham Hill. The 6th Form HUB incorporates a range of student led businesses serving our school and the local community.
