They will need to be an excellent communicator and enjoy empowering others. About Sir Frederick Gibberd College
Sir Frederick Gibberd College is an aspirational 11-18 school in Harlow, Essex, with outstanding ambition. We are now looking for an exceptional leader to help Sir Frederick Gibberd College on its path to excellence: a place where high quality teaching and learning is delivered, where exemplary behaviour and care is guaranteed, where great outcomes are attained and opportunities for all to achieve and flourish is a given.
The school opened in September 2019, named after the celebrated architect who designed Harlow as one of the UK's first post-war New Towns. From its inception, the school has been dedicated to providing high-quality education to the local community. It has grown from a cohort of Year 7 students to a whole community where students, their families and the public come together to learn, have fun and make a difference. In September 2021 the sixth form opened, expanding the provision of quality education for the young people of Harlow. At Sir Frederick Gibberd College, students are given every opportunity to achieve this- with a personalised curriculum, rich and innovative experiences outside of the classroom.
About BMAT Education
BMAT Education runs a community of schools which provide an outstanding education for every individual attending a Trust school. Our schools are places of aspiration, where individuals matter and confidence flourishes so that achievement for all is outstanding.
The trust currently oversees seven secondary academies and five primary academies, all mainly located in Harlow with other locations in Newham and Stansted. BMAT’s vision is to work together to smash through the barriers that prevent children from becoming confident, high achieving and independent individuals.
Core to our ethos is that we believe that exceptional leaders create exceptional schools, and our leaders are given the support they need to serve these communities at the highest level. BMAT is driven by the ambition to be the best.
