Slimbridge Primary School offers an exciting opportunity to lead our popular and thriving village school.

We are looking for a candidate who has successfully fulfilled any of the following roles:

  • Headship (including an extended Acting Headship)
  • Deputy Headship
  • Assistant Headteacher
  • Recognised member of a School Leadership Team
  • Has successfully worked in more than one school setting

We seek a Headteacher who:

  • Communicates effectively with stakeholders and wider audiences
  • Is committed to realising the potential of all pupils within a rich, exciting, and progressive curriculum

  • Builds and maintains an effective staff team
  • Values the importance of positive home/school links
  • Is not averse to a little timely humour
  • Has a basic understanding of school budgets (further training available)


  • Qualified Teacher Status (NPQH is desirable but not essential)
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
