Headteacher job summary
On behalf of the Directors of The Vine Schools Trust, we would like to recruit four outstanding head teachers to lead our Dengie schools. We are seeking passionate and dedicated head teachers for Latchingdon, St Nicholas', Southminster and St Cedd's C of E Primary Schools.
The Dengie Peninsula is the home to four of our Trust primary schools. We are committed to providing good quality education for the children in this region and work closely with our school leaders to achieve this. We are looking for dedicated, passionate and driven leaders who know what outstanding teaching looks like and have high expectations for the children in their care. We are looking for caring and nurturing leaders who can embrace our Christian ethos and provide a safe, spiritual school for our children and families to thrive. The Vine Schools Trust is a family and we want to create a close knit group of heads in this region who are passionate about their own school but committed to working together for the good of all children.
As our Head you will be part of a whole school community and will be a valued member of the Vine Schools Trust family: we have committed and talented staff, happy children, very supportive parents and a strong Local Board of Governance who work in close partnership with the school.
What's important to us:
· Creating and preserving the good reputation of our school within the community
· Commitment to a relevant, engaging and forward thinking curriculum
· A passion for achievement at every level
· Engaged and motivated staff
· A warm and engaging school with happy children who are eager to learn
· A strong Christian ethos
· Managing the school effectively and efficiently within available resources

Southminster C of E Primary School admits children from 4 - 11 years of age and currently has 193 children on roll. The school has experienced significant growth over the past year and we expect this to continue. The school is fortunate enough to have a swimming pool on site which is run by the school. In 2018, Ofsted judged our school as Requires Improvement but recognised that there was 'good' leadership as well as personal development, behaviour and welfare. Southminster continue on the path to good and we are looking for a strong, committed leader to continue this journey and take our school to the next level.
