This is a great opportunity to be the next Headteacher at St Christopher’s CofE Primary School. With a track record of success to build from, the potential at St Christopher’s is exciting.
We are looking for a Headteacher who is fully aligned with the DEMAT vision. To learn. To know. To lead out. Our vision for pupils and staff alike is underpinned by Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. We want all members of our school communities to learn more, know more, and then lead out into our local and wider networks to provide the foundations to build successful futures. We know there are challenges in this but recognise how we can find strength to achieve great things together.
We are looking for someone who:
Is able to demonstrate how curriculum is the driving force of a school;
Holds the highest expectations for behaviour and can demonstrate clear understanding of how to implement and maintain these in the classroom and around the school;
Will demonstrate why the ability to teach reading is so important;
Has the ability and knowledge required to ensure we continue to improve;
Is able to empower and motivate children, staff and parents, being a visible presence in and around the school;
Can demonstrate proven leadership experience;
Has proven experience at accelerating pupil progress through assessment and intervention, and can demonstrate how to lead this;
Is able to meet all aspects of the Headteacher Standards 2020;
As well as for pupils, holds high expectations of all colleagues and themselves; and
Can lead a dedicated workforce of teachers and support staff, demonstrating by example.
