Required from September 2019. Governors are looking to appoint a strong, creative and innovative leader. Applications are invited from practising and committed Roman Catholic teachers for the post of Headteacher
Due to the retirement of our current Headteacher, the Governing Body of St Paul’s RCVA Primary School are looking to appoint a strong leader who can continue to build on our previous success and provide innovative and creative direction to further enhance the educational provision for our school.
St. Paul’s is a welcoming and inclusive school, firmly driven by its mission as a Catholic Community.
Situated in the historic, expanding, market town of Alnwick in a beautiful area of Northumberland, we enjoy excellent facilities in extensive grounds. A recent Diocesan Inspection judged the Catholic life of the school as ‘Outstanding’ and we have a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating.
The successful candidate will:
• Be a practising and committed Catholic teacher with a sound understanding of the distinctive nature of Catholic education
• Have a passion for education and the knowledge, vision and skills to build on our progress
• Lead by example and have high expectations of attainment, progress and behaviour
• Be passionate about developing teaching and learning with an imaginative and effective approach
• Balance resources efficiently and effectively in a way that maximises performance and ensures the financial sustainability of the school
• Enhance our strong links with the Parish, Diocese, parents and wider community
