What skills and experience we're looking for
St Philip’s CE Primary School is a 1.5FE Voluntary Aided
primary, rated Good (Ofsted 2021 and SIAMS 2023).
St Philip’s, located close to the city centre of Cambridge, offers a wonderful mix of cultural diversity and close community ties. As a focal point for our families, the school has a mission to welcome all and enable the children in our care to fulfil their potential in a safe and stimulating environment.
We are seeking a Headteacher with the vision and ability to inspire our school community as a centre of academic and pastoral excellence for all. In November 2021 Ofsted rated us ‘Good’; since then, a period of uncertainty has presented challenges. We seek a Head with an appetite for wise management, who can take forward the stabilisation and improvement that is already underway.
You will be leading a vibrant and welcoming school – an exciting place to work with children from a wide range of backgrounds, and compassionate staff who work hard to deliver a first-class education. The school is supported by dedicated Governors who will give you strong support as the school embarks on a new stage of its journey.
If, as an existing Head – or indeed a Deputy or Interim Head looking to step into Headship – you believe you offer the leadership talent which inspires and motivates others towards excellence, then we would love to hear from you.
Applications are sought from both practising Christians and those committed to supporting the Christian ethos of the school.
Closing date:Monday 11 March at 12 Noon Interviews:Monday 18 March (one day)
We would warmly encourage you to visit St Philip’s to see the children and staff at work – as well as the exciting building improvements nearing completion. We are confident that you will sense the warmth, welcome and friendliness of the whole school community.
