Headteacher job summary

The Bellbird is an Ofsted rated Good school in the heart of the large village of Sawston, 5 miles from Cambridge, in new extended premises, with 415 children at present.

The governing body is looking for an outstanding Head Teacher from September 2024, who will lead the school through its next exciting phase.

You will have:

  • At least GOOD classroom practice and a proven track record of raising children's attainment.
  • Proven leadership and management skills and the gift to communicate a strong shared vision to pupils, parents and staff.
  • The ability to inspire, challenge, motivate and support children, staff, governors and parents.
  • The ability to support and continue to develop the senior leadership team.
