What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will need to be highly professional, delivering the highest quality of provision at this small school.This school successfully caters for children who, because of their anxiety and emotional needs, find mainstream school challenging. The post holder will be required to demonstrate exceptional ability in developing children’s emotional literacy so that where possible vulnerable learners can return successfully to their mainstream school settings. You will also need to be passionate about staff development and wellbeing and be able to work closely with commissioning schools and local authorities.

You will need strong interpersonal skills to work successfully and collegiately with key stakeholders. You will be an integral member of the Executive Education Team of The Gryphon Multi-Academy Trust, supported by Directors, Local Governors, and the Trust’s CEO. The strongest candidates will have the ability quickly to gain the confidence of students, staff, parents, and the local community, including other school leaders, to sustain high achievement.

Owing to the promotion of our current Headteacher, we require an outstanding school leader to maintain and develop the excellent alternative educational provision of a school which sits very much at the heart of its community.

Eaglewood School is a small Alternative Provision Free School based close to both the beautiful New Forest and the beach. We cater for students who have found their mainstream education settings difficult and for a wide variety of reasons need a smaller, calmer and kinder environment to reset and get back on track.
