We are excited to announce that Watlington Community Primary School and the Local Governing Body are searching for an ambitious, confident and inspiring head teacher to guide our school into its next chapter.

We are seeking someone who shares our vision and ambition and will build upon the wonderful successes of Watlington Community Primary School. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator with strong interpersonal abilities and a genuine passion for encouraging inclusive education for children from Year R through to Year 6, whilst ensuring all pupils achieve. We value proven leadership experience, whether in a Head or Deputy role, and are eager to find someone who has driven effective school improvement. Currently graded a ‘good’ school by Ofsted, we are looking for a leader who can take the school from good to outstanding. Your skills and expertise will make a significant impact on the teaching and learning experiences of all our pupils.

What the school offers its staff

Thank you for your interest in our school. We are a one-form entry village school south of King’s Lynn, Norfolk. The school has 171 pupils currently on roll and predicted to increase to 174 for 25/26. Our feeder school is currently Downham Market Academy, this is planned to change to King’s Lynn Academy for September 2026. We have an above average proportion of children with special educational needs and average number of children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
