What skills and experience we're looking for

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and inspiring Headteacher who will lead our successful academy to maintain their outstanding Ofsted accreditation.

Our new Headteacher will demonstrate professional ability, focus and ambition for the school.

We are seeking a leader who:

  • Incorporates the values of the Trust into every aspect of academy life.
  • Has a clear vision for the future of the school; who recognises its strengths and is committed to drive the strategic leadership, empowering all pupils and staff to excel and further develop their potential.
  • Is totally committed to the inclusive ethos of the school, ensuring that this is a shared set of values formed by consultation with all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate personal behaviour that leads by example, forges positive relationships and attitudes towards and between pupils and staff, and with parents, AC Members, Directors and the local community.
  • Will motivate and support staff in meetings and professional development in order to enhance their practice and support the attainment of high outcomes for pupils.
  • Has the ability to secure excellent teaching through an analytical understanding of how pupils learn and of the core features of successful classroom practice and curriculum design, leading to rich curriculum opportunities and pupils’ well-being.
  • Can ensure that the school’s systems, organisation and processes are well considered, efficient and fit for purpose, upholding the principles of transparency, integrity and probity.
  • Has proven experience of raising educational standards in attainment and progress in a senior leadership role.
  • Is a strategic thinker with the ability to be creative, rigorous and organised.
