The Governors of William Gilbert Endowed Primary School & Nursery are looking to appoint an inspirational, forward-thinking headteacher to lead this popular and welcoming Primary School.

Situated in the heart of the village of Duffield, close to the City of Derby, the school is one of two primary schools which represent the whole of the village.

William Gilbert Endowed Primary School & Nursery is a Church of England school and proud member of Derby Diocesan Academy Trust (www.ddat.org.uk) and enjoys positive relationships with the team of professionals providing effective support in school improvement and operations.

WGES desires every child to be the best person that they can possibly be and to know that they are valuable in God’s world. The school is committed to working towards this end, so that each child can flourish individually, academically, socially and spiritually.

We are looking for a serving Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher or a highly experienced Senior Leader, who is eager to take on a new and stimulating challenge.
