Headteacher job summary
Our next Headteacher will:
- Put children’s wellbeing and learning at the heart of the school, with a strong commitment to a safeguarding culture and high expectations of all.
- Have clear leadership and organisational experience and the ability to be an inspirational leader, working with integrity, creativity, and purpose.
- Be committed to leading a staff team in a focused and collaborative way, working towards a well-defined vision and with clearly shared values.
- Have excellent communication and consultation skills, and be approachable to all staff, pupils, parents and Governors.
- Show the ability to work strategically, lead change and drive new initiatives.
- Will value and develop a rich and broad curriculum, taught in calm, safe and purposeful learning environments, and set within a clear Christian ethos.
- Set the highest expectations and model the behaviours we want to see throughout the school community.
- Be positive and enthusiastic, work well under pressure, prioritise effectively, meet challenges calmly and confidently, and display humility and good humour.
- Develop strong and purposeful relationships, based on mutual respect, to get the best out of all members of the school community.
- Be ambitious for the school in seeking to achieve the very highest standards in all areas.
