Health and Safety Officer job summary

We have an opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety professional to join us in a role that is integral to the development of the Health and Safety culture across the Trust

The role: 
In this role you’ll be a centre of knowledge, supporting our Academies across multiple sites and coaching senior management in relation to our health and safety responsibilities. This role would be a fantastic opportunity to further develop your working portfolio as you will be given a great deal of autonomy within your work, allowing you to develop your knowledge and application in the education sector. 

Qualifications.  Minimum of NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent; candidates with IOSH technician qualification may be considered. 

This role will support the development of improvement strategies across our Academies to ensure we take an innovative and forward thinking approach towards health and safety. A requirement of the role is your ability to engage, understand and interpret all legal updates and developments in the health and safety community relevant to the education setting. 

You will be an integral part of the Operations Directorate and act as a representative of the Education Support Team to stakeholders. The trust operates across the East Midlands and you will be responsible for a portfolio of academies in an area best suited for your location, you will also be required to work from our central office in Nottingham on occasion. Due to the travel requirements of this role, a full driving licence and own transport is essential.
