About the role
Hob Moor Oaks are seeking to recruit a Health Care Assistant to support, improve and maintain the health of pupils attending our school. Hob Moor Oaks is a well-respected Nursery to Year 6 special school based in York. The hours for this role are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.00pm to be worked during term time.
You will be a highly committed Health Care Assistant who has knowledge and experience of working with children and young people who have Education, Health & Care Plans.
We are looking for a caring and dedicated Health Care Assistant with experience of providing high quality care to children who require support and intervention to meet their health and feeding routines.
You will be flexible in your approach, been adaptable and flexible will be paramount to this role.
You will have fantastic organisational skills, the ability to prioritise your work load to enable you to offer the best care and support to our children.
Communication will also play a key part in this role, you will be able to communication clearly and effectively with the children, staff, parents and carers and the wider school community.
The job requirements
You will be passionate about sharing our goals and versions, working together to provide the best experiences and care for our children.
You will have a wide range of knowledge and experiences allowing you to work closely with the NHS Nursing team here at Hob Moor Oaks, you will need to fulfil a range of administrate and clinical duties within this role including supporting staff to administer medicines.
It is highly desirable that you have a level 4 Nursing or Health Care qualification although this is not essential. Training and support will be given within this role.
