What skills and experience we're looking for
The Stephen Longfellow Academy are seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Health & Wellbeing Coach This role is of great importance to our work as an Academy, the Health and Wellbeing Coach will be employed to improve the potential and life chances of the most vulnerable and at-risk students, specifically those students at risk of anti-social behaviour, criminality, Child Criminal Exploitation and County Lines and gang affiliation and those students who are at risk of permanent exclusion.
The post holder will be responsible for the management and development and management of other Teaching Assistants including allocation and monitoring of work, appraisal and training.
The ideal applicant will:
- Have GCSE Grade C in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Have an understanding of the particular factors and issues faced by children and young people in relation to the maintenance of good mental health and emotional wellbeing.
- Have strong emotional intelligence.
- Be student focused and child centred.
- Have a commitment to safeguarding children.
