Are you looking for a new rewarding part-time role in a charming village school setting, for 2024?
Are you a Teaching Assistant looking for the opportunity to develop your skills and experience?
Have you completed your HLTA qualification and would like to work in a busy, caring and welcoming school?
Are you a teacher who loves teaching but wants less planning responsibility and meetings in your week?
If so, Trinity Primary School wants to hear from you!
We are looking enthusiastic and passionate person to work with our children covering PPA release time at our school.
Trinity CE Primary is a small Church of England school with 160 children on roll (2024/25). We are based in the beautiful village of Aldwincle, near Thrapston.
At Trinity, we believe that children learn best when they can take ownership of their learning and are inspired by their subject. Therefore, we employ enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and supportive specialists, to deliver our engaging, innovative curriculum and inspire everyone to reach their God-given potential.
Following a successful Ofsted Inspection in June 2023, our school has received a very well-deserved rating of Good. Ofsted Inspectors commented that relationships between pupils and staff are ‘warm and considerate’ with pupils stating, ‘there’s such a nice, safe atmosphere here.’ Central to our success is our amazing staffing team, who work hard to create a calm, settled learning environment for our pupils, who are polite and proud of their work, with positive attitudes towards learning. We are therefore looking for our newest HLTA to work to uphold these expectations, contribute to this environment and support us in our mission to provide the very best in education for the children of Trinity.
The role will involve supporting individual and groups of children in activities and delivering lessons to small groups and whole classes, covering PPA. You will be provided with PPA time, and the total hours and working pattern is flexible, further to discussions.
Trinity school has been a proud member of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust since February 2019, alongside 32 other schools in the Rutland, Peterborough and Northamptonshire area. PDET is responsible for employing all staff and managing the finances and other central services for the Academies in the Trust. These services include HR support; facilities and premises; procurement and school effectiveness.
We are seeking someone who:
- Enthusiastic, approachable and friendly,
- Experienced in delivering cover for Class Teachers,
- Ensures all children feel safe, happy and able to learn,
- Understanding of the curriculum and pastoral needs of primary aged children,
- Able to deliver and evaluate lessons, giving feedback when needed,
- Confident in using a range of behaviour management skills,
- Ability to work effectively, flexibly and independently,
- Supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school.
In return, Trinity Primary School are proud to offer a ‘welcoming, happy’ environment, that places our values at the heart of everything we do – children and staff alike. Our Christian faith guides our decisions and attitudes and promotes the development of a safe, loving and caring environment for all to learn, blossom and grow.
