What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with responsibility to enrich the outdoor environment with children in KS1 to join our friendly team. If you have a passion, ambition and commitment to ensure our children reach their potential and develop a love of learning particularly in the outdoors then we would love to hear from you!

We would like a HLTA who:

  • has a genuine interest in children and is able to respond to them professionally with a quiet authority.

  • is passionate about meeting the needs of all children including those with SENd additional needs.

  • can lead the class during PPA and cover situations.

  • can support the class teacher to ensure the active participation of children in the academic and social activities of the school.

  • will contribute to raising standards of achievement for all children.

  • is willing to engage with all aspects of school life, parents and the wider community.

  • wishes to work in an organisation with strong ethical values and is willing to work with us to ensure that The Elliot Foundation Values are embedded.

Nene is a 3 form entry Infant School, federated with Ramnoth Jujnior School and sponsored by The Elliot Foundation Academies Trust.
Our Nene base provides education for our youngest children. We have 3 Reception classes and our Nursery (Little Owls) which is open 8.00am-6.00pm, 48 weeks per year.
Ramnoth has undergone an extension program which included 12 new classrooms and separate dining hall, as well as refurbishment to the rest of the school. This base now houses our Y1 to Y6 children.
