Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
Poppleton Ousebank Primary School are looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant on a permanent basis to work 26 hours per week across four days (Tuesday - Friday), term time.
This role will cover teacher PPA time in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 and also planned lessons in Year 2 and Year 3 to cover SLT release time.
During PPA cover music lessons will be taught so an interest in music is essential. The successful applicant will need to plan the music sessions in advance following the school’s music curriculum.
Activities involve planning, preparing and delivering learning lessons as well as monitoring pupils, assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development, under the direction of the class teacher.
Experience in a primary school setting is essential.
