Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary

As a HLTA you will play a key role in delivering tailored learning experienes for pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will work closely with the SENDco, class teachers, and external professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver core curriculum lessons including phonics, reading, writing and maths to gorups of pupils with SEND.

Deliver targeted interventions and support for pupils with SEND, both in and out of the classroom.

Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENDco to plan and deliver adapted learning activities and experiences.

Support the developmnent of EHCPs and contirbute to reviews and assessments.

Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.

Cover whole classes when required to do so.

We are lookign for someone who:

Holds HTLA status or equivalent qualification.

Has experience working with children with a range of SEND needs.

Demonstrates communication and teamwork skills

Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
