Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
As a person, to thrive in this role you will be happily resourceful and creative, highly resilient and able to work well as a member of a successful team. You will work closely with the Inclusion Lead and be required to lead the delivery of specific learning objectives and activities, to support the complex needs of pupils, and to deliver lessons during teacher absence and PPA cover.
The role would also be suitable for an aspirant teacher and/or a candidate with an interest or strength in PE/Sports/Music/Art and/or another subject.
You will also be able to relate well with (and understand) others, demonstrating highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, and have a good sense of positive humour. In addition, you will be able to show the understanding that success at Longspee Primary is achieved by developing the excellence and independence of others. If you have experience, skills, interests, or an area of knowledge that you will inspire others with, then we would love to work with your enthusiasm in this area to support our vulnerable learners.
The daily working hours are Monday-Wednesday 8.30 am – 4.15 pm, Thursday 8.30 am - 4.00 pm; Friday 8.30 am – 3.15 pm.
