Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HLTA to join our school.
This post is also suitable for a teacher who is seeking reduced responsibility.
Applicants must be committed to providing a high quality of provision for our children. This post will involve providing PPA and cover teaching for classes throughout the school. The successful candidate will be expected to effectively plan, deliver and assess pupils’ work and to support the leadership of an area of responsibility or subject area in school supported by SLT.
You will need:
✔ A HLTA qualification/appropriate teaching qualification
✔ An understanding of the needs and development of young learners.
✔ A good knowledge of positive behaviour management strategies.
✔ Experience of working in a primary school or similar setting.
✔ Experience of planning, marking and delivering whole class lessons.
✔ G.C.S.E. (grade C or above) in Maths and English or an equivalent level 2 qualification.
✔ An interest in the Computing curriculum.
✔ A good level of spoken and written English.
✔ A calm and caring nature.
✔ A flexible approach and the ability to use their initiative.
✔ The ability to work successfully as part of a team.
✔ To be a special person who wants to make a difference.
