Are you an emotionally intelligent, fun, resilient and determined person who is passionate about education? Are you looking for a new challenge? Would you like to work in a school where nothing surprises you and no two days are the same? This is a highly rewarding role in a fantastic, challenging and unique school for someone with extensive school experience working with vulnerable children.

Further details about the role

Beormund Primary school serves children with complex social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Our children arrive having experienced some form of trauma(s) and all have an Education & Health Care Plan with varying needs such as attachment, SCLN, ADHD, ASD or ODD. All of our children need patience, time and care.

We rely on a successful, experienced and capable team of people, dedicated to improving the life chances of those already excluded from a mainstream setting. We are currently looking to recruit new members to our support staff team. We are looking for people who can look beyond the behaviours children display as we seek to establish the messages they are attempting to communicate. Our curriculum is personalised with an aim to support, challenge and inspire children. Our collective drive is to reignite their love for learning and for them to achieve.

We hold high expectations of our children who make accelerated academic progress as well as improve their social and emotional responses and behaviours. Successful candidates will have the responsibility for keeping children safe, enhancing their self-esteem, providing appropriate challenge as well as supporting teachers in delivering purposeful, inspiring and engaging learning experiences.

Commitment to safeguarding

The safety, welfare and wellbeing of the children is the first priority of Governors and staff at Beormund Primary School. All appointments are subject to appropriate vetting and barring checks, as described in the current DfE Guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’
