What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors at Buckden CofE Primary Academy Trust are offering an amazing opportunity for a HLTA or someone with the relevant experience/qualifications or for someone to become a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HTLA) with the appropriate training, resulting in gaining the HLTA qualification, which will be paid for by the school.
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to provide class cover during Teachers PPA time throughout EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Hours will be worked over Monday to Friday and working hours can be discussed further if you were to be successful in being offered the role.
What the school offers its staff
You will be expected to complete the Level 4 Certificate for Higher Level Teaching Assistants within your own time outside of your contracted hours. Usually the qualification will be assessed through a combination of written essays, a portfolio of evidence and observation of occupational competence by a tutor assigned to you from the learning provider. The majority of units, assignments and learning materials for the course are accessed through a recognised online learning platform. Usually students have 12 months access to the online learning platform where they may study entirely at their own pace.
This is an exciting opportunity to further your career as a Teaching Assistant within the supportive environment at Buckden Primary Academy. We are looking for an individual with a positive personality and willing to commit to gaining the Level 4 Certificate for Higher Level Teaching Assistants. Previous experience of working with children is essential and you will also be required to demonstrate good Maths and English skills (Level 2).
