Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking to recruit a specialist Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our learning support team. You will work within the classroom to support students who have specific needs, promoting inclusion and so enabling students to experience a sense of achievement. You will be required to contribute to the planning, preparation and implementation of interventions and evaluate their impact. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to support students with their learning and behaviour. You will also take a proactive role in guiding and supporting the Learning Support Assistant team, ensuring that they are secure and focussed in their roles. You will work alongside the SENDCo in ensuring statutory obligations are being met in line with the SEND Code of Practice. We are keen on hearing from candidates who have expertise in specific areas on need. Experience of administrative work would be desirable, although not essential.
