What skills and experience we're looking for

We arelooking for a new HLTA colleague to join us, based at Langstone Infant Academy, a confident classroom practitioner, an enthusiastic team player with high expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour. You will be committed to improving standards and ensuring all learners achieve their very best and have the skills to create a stimulating and purposeful learning environment. You will have the skills to deliver great lessons from the planning provided and be able to follow policies including those relating to teaching & learning, marking & feedback and safeguarding. You will have excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to communicate with a wide range of people, including children, their parent/carers and colleagues. You will have a positive attitude, be resilient and hard workingwith the ability to work on your own initiative while understanding the need to work as part of a cohesive teamto secure the best possible learning and teaching for all.

Educated to GCSE C or equivalent and with a high standard of literacy and numeracy, you will have a good working knowledge of the primary national curriculum; ideally having experience of effective teaching to pre-determined plans and have developed skills to motivate and stimulate learning whilst ensuring appropriate pupil behaviour.

Further details about the role

The work pattern will not exceed 31.25 hours per week, term time only, however, flexibility is required due to the differing start and finish times of the year groups, which is subject to change daily subject to the needs of the school each day, this could be due to unexpected other staff absence.
