Band F points 12 – 17 £18,951 - £20,768 Based on full time salary of £24,496 - £26,845 (pay award pending) (plus an additional 1 week of pay if the appointee has 5 years or more continuous service with the Local Authority)

What skills and experience we're looking for

  • We are looking to appoint a HLTA who is passionate about working alongside our children, committed to safeguarding and supportive of the ethos of our school.

  • Consistently demonstrate the expectations outlined in the HLTA Standards.

  • Be able to interest, engage and motivate students to work hard.

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist them in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources.

  • Compliment teachers’ delivery of the curriculum and contribute to the development of teaching assistants and students in the Academy.

  • Give support to students, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum.

  • Establish excellent relationships with students built upon respect and consistent communication and application of our Academy standards and expectations, acting as a role model for all.

  • Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required.

  • Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relation to Child Protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person in accordance with the policy.

  • Be aware of and support difference and ensure all students have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
