What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will have :

  • Appropriate qualification to degree level (or equivalent)
  • GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and Maths
  • Desire to work towards the HLTA qualification or other training relevant to subject specialism (such as phonics training)
  • The ability to enthuse, inspire and motivate students
  • Experience of teaching in small groups or tutor settings.
  • Recent work in a school or other organisation dealing with young people with additional educational needs.
  • Experience of improving outcomes for young people
