Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Enhanced Provision job summary
Shrivenham C of E Primary School is a growing and successful school with happy, well-motivated and hardworking children and staff. We are proud to be part of the Cambrian Learning Trust.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to primarily work in our enhanced provision. The HLTA role complements the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for learning activities under an agreed system of supervision.
What we are looking for:
- HLTA (or higher) qualification or qualification in progress (not essential)
- Experience of teaching whole classes, planning and assessing
- Experience of working with children with high-level SEN needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Someone with a positive outlook and the resilience to cope with regular day to day challenges of working in a school
- Ability to deliver pastoral support within the school to address the needs of pupils who need help to overcome barriers to learning
- High expectations of all pupils
- A team player – someone who shares our ethos of all things are possible for one who believes
