Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary

HLTA Vacancy

• 30hrs per week
• 08:40 - 15:10 Monday to Friday
• Term Time Only + 5 INSET days
• Fixed Term Contract until 31/08/2025

We are looking for an HLTA who has the experience, motivation and skillset to work with our wonderful teachers, teaching assistants, leadership team and other stakeholders to ensure that every pupil is achieving their full potential. This position would suit a positive, energetic, proactive team-player who is able to be flexible and adaptable. This is a really exciting time to become a part of our team school and we are looking for a candidate that is passionate about enabling all children to thrive. Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out regular PPA cover teaching for teachers across the school
• Supporting classes by covering teacher absence and leadership release time across the school
  
• Meeting the academic, developmental and emotional needs of children
• Creating a safe and stimulating environment to promote learning and inclusion for all children
• Building and maintaining relationships with parents and carers and other childcare professionals/agencies

Roundhill Primary School is set on the south west side of the city of Bath serving the local wards of Southdown, Whiteway and Twerton. Roundhill Primary was formed in 2015, as a result of amalgamation of Southdown Infants and Southdown Juniors. Since then we have had major refurbishment of the buildings and the school provides a spacious, well-resourced learning environment. The school is set in extensive, attractive grounds, which make a significant contribution to our curriculum and after school provision. We have excellent nursery provision for two year olds and our three year old provision is within our integrated Foundation Stage Unit.

In December 2018, we joined The Partnership Trust, which is a multi-academy trust.
