We have a new vacancy for a HLTA to join us from September 2022 due to additional funding and increased students on role. We want to hear from you if you are an experienced, highly motivated, and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant who has experience of working with young people to facilitate access to learning. The HLTA will work and support students within Alternative Mainstream Provision (Aspire & Comms Base). The ideal candidate will form part of a team who provide consistently high standards of support in the areas of literacy, numeracy, language, behaviour, social skills, spelling, handwriting/presentation and promoting inclusion and excellent outcomes for all students. The post holder will hold a HLTA Qualification and a First Aid Qualification, or be willing to undertake such training.
To be considered for the role you will be able to demonstrate that you are:
• An experienced HLTA or looking to progress from a TA role.
• Able to provide excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate well with young people focusing on access to learning whilst building positive working relationships.
• Able to provide clear instructions and guidance, using coaching and listening skills to support young people with access to learning.
• Able to promote an ethos of inclusion and equal opportunities for all, regardless of any special educational needs.
