Higher Level Teaching Assistant/General Teaching Assistant job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint to a blended post of Higher Level Teaching Assistant and General Teaching Assistant, to work with teachers to support teaching and learning , working in a classroom setting and with individual pupils and groups.
The successful candidate will fulfil the General Teaching Assistant for 21 hours per week, complementing the work of the teacher in and out of class, supporting individual pupils and groups. There is a requirement to assist with pupils' personal hygiene, (including personal intimate care and catheterization) at times within the GTA role. The actual salary for this part of the role will be £11,390 per annum, based on the full time equivalent of £23,150 (Grade C/D, Scale Point 03 - 04).
In addition we are offering 9 hours each week in the role of Higher Level Teaching Assistant covering classes for teacher planning time or short term absence. You will be responsible for delivering learning activities within the overall teaching plan with access to support and guidance as required. The actual salary for this part of the role will be £5,296 per annum, based on the full time equivalent of £25,119 (Grade F, Scale Point 09 - 13)
