Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Grade 8) job summary
We are looking for someone who believes that education has the power to change lives and that we can achieve more for our pupils by working together.
You will be expected to p lan work for a small group of children in accordance with school curriculum policies and in cooperation with class teachers to ensure that the children experience a broad, balanced, relevant and stimulating curriculum. In addition, y ou will provide cover for teaching staff when required.
You will be responsible for the management and development of a specialist area within the school and/or management of other teaching assistants including allocation and monitoring of work
This role is grade 8 - 35 hours per week (8:30am - 4pm) Monday to Friday.
Term time only. Working weeks 38 Paid weeks 44.08 (including 6.08 weeks holiday)
Skills/experience requiredWe are looking for a HLTA that has very high standards and expectations of themselves and others, who works well in a team and is an excellent communicator. You will be qualified to level three in children care or classroom assistant as a minimum and a willingness to work towards a level four qualification. HLTA qualification desirable. Minimum requirement English and Maths GCSE grade C or equivalent
