Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary

We are seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to be a member of the support staff team at Great Park Academy. Alongside working within a multi-professional SEND team to manage support on the school timetable, to assist teachers in facilitating teaching and learning activities, you will be a ‘hands on’ colleague who is willing to support other departments of the academy. You will play a pivotal role in developing a strong partnership between students, families, and school.

  • Someone with experience of working and providing support in a learning environment 
  • Someone with experience of working with young people 
  • Someone who can demonstrate a good understanding of SEND 
  • A sympathetic understanding of broad needs of secondary aged students 
  • Attention to detail 
  • An effective team player
