Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Badock's E-ACT Academy

We have an exciting opportunity for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join an academy that is really going places. There is a real buzz about our academy and the rate at which our pupils progress, but don’t just take our word for it and come and see us for yourself.

The role is full time (32.5 hours per week) and is a permanent contract, and we require the successful candidate to commence employment on 01/09/2022. The salary range for the position is Scale Points 19 - 23 depending on experience (actual £19,940.05 - 21708.17, Full Time Equivalent £25,927 - £28,226).

The purpose of this role is to collaborate with teachers in planning and delivering of lessons to small groups & individuals within a framework agreed with and under the overall direction and supervision of a qualified teacher. You will be required to:

Plan, prepare and deliver assigned programmes of teaching and learning activities to individuals, small groups and/or whole classes modifying and adapting activities as necessary under the overall direction and supervision of a teacher
Assess the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils’ learning.
Develop and implement Individual Development Plans for pupils (such as Individual Educations Plans) including attendance at, and contribution to, reviews.
Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.
