Higher Level Teaching Assistant - HLTA
The Michael Syddall CE (VA) Primary School is seeking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and committed HLTA to join our dedicated team. With increasing school roll and having been selected to be part of the DFE Rebuilding Programme, exciting times are ahead!
We would love you to come, join our growing wonderful team and be part of our school for the future.
The post holder will work throughout the school and deliver activities for individual pupils or groups of pupils as required. This post also includes whole class cover for PPA cover and short-term absence.
We are looking for a HLTA who possesses the following qualities:
Believes that children come first
Is committed to supporting a learning environment that promotes excellence and the individual learning needs of all pupils.
Can use their initiative
Experience of supporting a range of lessons
Experience in supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
Flexibility in their approach and a commitment to team working.
Be patient, caring, understanding, positive and supportive.
Provide 1:1 support to pupils and small group work.
Effective behaviour management skills.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Punctuality and reliability.
Have experience of working across key stages
Have strong Maths and English skills.
Be willing to support all aspects of school life.
