HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT (HLTA) job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated HLTA to work in Year 6. The successful applicant will have skills, knowledge and experience in working with Upper Key Stage 2.
The role will involve being the class TA, covering one half day per week PPA in the Y6 class and delivering intervention groups with small groups of Y6 children / individual Y6 children. This will involve close liaison with the class teacher, Y6 lead teacher and members of the senior leadership team. There may also occasionally be times when Y6 class cover is required.
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about standards and the curriculum in Upper KS2, particularly Y6 and will be able to plan for intervention, and assess children’s understanding, independently with some guidance from the class teacher. The successful candidate will also be able to plan and deliver intervention for SEND children working below Y6 age related expectations.
This position is part time please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
