St Gabriel’s RC High School is a comprehensive school which welcomes students of all abilities, aged 11-16. We are a popular and oversubscribed school serving the Catholic community of North Bury. Whilst we were placed in special measures earlier in 2019, we still achieve extremely high GCSE results, are ranked highly in the local authority and our Ofsted monitoring inspection in 2020 reflected the substantial improvements made across School.
Our new Headteacher took up post in September 2019 and is an experienced Head, with a proven track record of school improvement. We are excited about the rapid transformation our School is undergoing, and the opportunities now afforded to us as part of the St Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Academy Trust.
As a faith School, we place Jesus Christ at the heart of all we do. St Gabriel’s is renowned for its fantastic pastoral care, for which we often receive praise from parents, carers and our students.
We invite applicants to join this successful team.
You will join a friendly, motivated and successful Curriculum Support department should your application be successful. We are looking for a candidate who can work in partnership with teachers and students to remove barriers to learning and make the curriculum accessible within a specific subject specialism; the subject allocated will depend upon the academic strengths and interests of the successful applicant.
Key features of our school:
• Enthusiastic students with high learning expectations and academic achievement.
• A dedicated and committed team of staff, who provide outstanding care, guidance and formation for our young people.
• An ethos which is distinctly Catholic and invites the participation of our young people to grow their faith at every opportunity.
• Behaviours for learning that produce a respectful community to learn in.
