Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) job summary

Inspiring Primaries Academy Trust are looking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for Ullesthorpe CE Primary School. This is an amazing opportunity to join our experienced and dedicated team.

The HLTA role sits within our newly introduced IPAT SEND strategy. As such, the successful applicant will have expertise in one area of SEND: cognition and learning; social, emotional & mental health; communication & interaction, or; sensory and physical difficulties.

The trust will support the successful candidate in gaining the HLTA qualification if he/she does not have this already. However, a minimum of two years experience in a school is required for this role.

Ullesthorpe is a small, friendly and inclusive school offering a high commitment to our children through small classes, excellent teaching and a broad and varied curriculum with a strong Christian ethos. We have beautiful grounds which feature a sports field, two playgrounds, and a trim trail, growing areas and outdoor learning including forest school provision. Our classes are housed in modern buildings and a spacious mobile. Our hall is used for collective worship, music lessons, PE lessons and performances. There is a supportive PTA and we provide a number of out of school enrichment activities including residential trips. Ullesthorpe is a thriving village and we are proud of our place in the community and the links we have with St. Peter's Church and other local organisations.

This post is a permanent contract for 32.5 hours per week / 39 weeks per year to include Inset days / Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8.30am-3.15pm (30 minute lunchbreak), Wednesday 8.45am-4.45pm (30 minute lunchbreak)

academy of 100 pupils aged 4-11 years.

village of Ullesthorpe located not far from

provides wrap-around care for our children.

well-established. As a church school, we

have good links with two local churches.

Members of the churches regularly come

into school to lead collective worship and

‘Open the Book’.

We are proud that Ullesthorpe CE Primary

School was judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in

November 2021 and also ‘Good’ by SIAMS

in December 2019.
