Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HTLA) job summary

To work with the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment and supporting the learning process for pupils.
Within an agreed system of supervision plan and deliver teaching activities to classes using appropriate learning objectives, adjusting plans as necessary to meet pupil needs and responses.
Support all children including those with disabilities or special educational needs.
To work with the school's agreed behaviour policy, promoting self-control and independence.
To assist with administrative support and communicate effectively, developing constructive relationships with children, parents, families, carers and external agencies.
