Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary

We have an opportunity to appoint 2 Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA).

As a HLTA, you will work with teachers to organise and support teaching and learning activities for classes, groups and individuals.

Key duties will be:

  • To plan, prepare and deliver specific learning activities;
  • Assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment;
  • Liaise with staff and other relevant professionals and provide information about pupils as appropriate;
  • Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.

If you have a level 2 or 3 diploma (or equivalent), are working at or towards professional standards for a HLTA and have successful, relevant experience of working with children in a learning environment, then we would be keen to receive your application.

Other TA related qualifications and experience in supporting those with specific learning difficulties would be an advantage but are not essential.
