The Role:

As an HLTA within the Learning Support team, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Offer specific support to our Sixth Form students on occasion, helping them to develop independent learning skills and achieve their academic goals.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of lessons and resources to support students’ learning.
  • Assist in the monitoring and tracking of student progress, providing feedback and support to help them succeed.

  • An interest in working with students in an educational setting, ideally with experience in supporting students with SEND.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • The ability to work flexibly and adapt to the varying needs of students, both in class and in individual support sessions.
  • A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting the academic and emotional development of young people.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
