What skills and experience we're looking for
Carfield Primary School is looking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to lead our specialist Nurture provision. The successful candidate must have:
- Experience working with children with SEND
- Experience working in a primary school setting
The successful candidate also needs:
• To be ambitious, inspiring and passionate about pupils’ learning enabling them to meet their full potential
• To have excellent subject knowledge and experience of planning lessons or group sessions
• To have experience working with children
• To have excellent behaviour management and organisation skills
• To be able to build quick relationships with pupils and colleagues
• To be committed to raising standards

In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education advice, the school will carry out online searches for shortlisted candidates and a requirement to complete a self-declaration of their criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children. Shortlisted candidates are required to complete a self-declaration criminal history form prior to interview and any disclosures will be discussed with candidates at the interview stage. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS prior to employment commencing.
